Purpose
Descendants of Fossors is a non-profit, 501 (c)(3) lineage association. The object of this Association shall be:
❖ To honor all those, and their descendants, who took part in the last step of a life in what is now considered the boundaries of the United States of America between the years 1607 and 1850, to include anyone whose life included the following:

Undertaker
Coroner
Member of Coroner’s Jury
Sexton
Hearse Driver/Owner
Inquisition of Death Member
Inquisition Post-Mortem Member
Donated land for cemetery
Shroud maker (to include sailors)
Pall Bearer
Mortician
Stone Mason (if tombstone carving can be proved)
Cabinet/Furniture Maker (if coffin/casket making can be proved)

❖ To encourage camaraderie among the members and those of like pursuit.
